Sometimes you have those moments of contentment. It’s the moment where you are driving and the music is the perfect volume; not too loud, not too soft. the car you are driving is going the perfect speed and all you notice are the street lights moving to the sound of the music you are listening to, which just so happens to be playing the perfect song for that perfect moment. It’s the moment where, when you slow down the car, the music just so happens to slow down at the same time and you hear your turn signal blinking on beat with the music. then you arrive at your destination and the song finishes as you turn the ignition off. you pull your keys from the wheel get out and you walk as your keys now dangle in your hand. nothing stops you; yes people are still driving their cars around you and maybe you don’t have that perfect song playing in your ears, but you are walking to the beat of your heart. you’re content. content with everything God has given you. you see, I struggle with contentment. because not every day is like the one I just described. but like I said, it was just a moment… and then it goes away. and somehow quickly you re-enter the earth’s atmosphere and return to what you remember as earth. I know you know the moments I’m talking about. here’s some advice, love those moments and thank God for them. now go..

Ok, so that was kinda sucky.

I mean seriously, get this: I’m using my laptop, just doing my thing right? And then… my screen starts buggin’ out on me. It was weird. It would go all “old-film” style and I wasn’t able to see anything on my screen. So I call Dell right. I have like this 3 year plan or something and they will fix anything on it for me. Well, after about 2 1/2 hours of trouble shooting the final decision is that I’m going to send it in. So.. what do I do. I send it in. My laptop is shipped via airline to Tennesee. I was assured that it would be back in my hands within 8-12 days as they were going to replace my LCD Disply. So then what happens you might ask.. well, good ol’ Dell sends my computer back to the address of the purchaser which was my grandma. So now my computer is in Arizona… *Shay takes a deep breath*… so then my parents go (by go I mean drive 3 1/2 hours) to my grandma’s house and pick it up. Then my dad drives it down to work with him and on the way stops and gives it to me..aww.. sounds good right!?? BUT WAIT! There’s MOOORE!!..

As soon as I got my computer back I brought it back to my apartment and then I opened it up to use it. After about 20 minutes the screen starts FLASHING!! It was crazy! It wouldn’t stop. So, frusterated and annoyed I called Dell that same day. And once again after about an hour conversation with some indian dude in, Yes, India.. I have to send it back again! Long story short. They sent it back to Arizona after fixing it, again, even though I asked them to change the address. And once again my parents went and go it for me and now here I am. Wow. How about all that jazz?!

I have such cool parents..

I just got back from. I’ve closed for 3 days straight. Tomorrow, I work at 11:00.. I gotta figure my life out. haha.. just kidding about the life stuff.. so anyways, I thought this picture really captured that. Plus I think that’s the best caption I’ve had yet.

So today my friends William came down. We had a good time. Lovin’ life. It was cool. Uh?.. my girlfriend flew to Texas a few days ago, that’s weird. Her friend Megan thought it was a good idea to have her flew out of the farthest airport on the planet. I didn’t think it was a really good idea, but I think I’ll just try be as objective about my comments as possible. :). Anyways, I wasn’t really planning on this being a very long journal so, goodnight.

You know, I was thinking today how good it is to be back. I mean, back in business and back online in my community with my friends. The people who understand me and everything, you know? Well.. anyways.

Tristan and I watched Back to Future II tonight. That was good time. After that Bethany and I went out with some friends to BJ’s and ate some food and had some shakes for her b-day. Our friend Beth was acting all crazy and she was hyper, so I guess that was kinda cool. Plus Justin came (He’s my other roommate. There are 5 of us: Skyler, Justin, Tristan, Blake, and me). But there has been this kid parking in our parking space here at school, and we’re kind of sick of it. It’s weird. So I go up to his room to tell him to move his truck, again, and he’s like “ooh.. that’s your spot?”.. and I’m thinking “Yeah, that’s why there is a big sign that says “THIS SPOT IS RESERVED FOR ROOM #8” right above the parking space. Weird. I guess kids can’t read these days.

Work is going good. I’ve been training everyone the past couple of days so that’s been fun. We have this new guy named Nick and he’s a freakin’ workhorse. Needless to say I like his style. He’s 18, and he says things like “You want me to go ahead and mop the back room so it looks good?” And of course I’m speechless and just nod my head. hehe.. I guess you might not understand that. But I’ll say this much, there is a big difference between kids who want to work, and kids who just work to get money. It’s hard to explain, but it’s a real idea. ok, enough about that.

Tomorrow I’m going to take Bethany to the airport so she can fly to Texas for a couple of days. Then after that I’ll probably fight the traffic on the 405 back to work and then come home to the guys playing video games. Talk about a lifestyle. I love it.

I was just listening to Green Day. I was quickly reminded of the days when my best friend Zach told me be bought the Nimrod album basically without his parents permission. (that’s because it had too much cussing). What are you gonna do? Kids these days.

This weekend I went down with my great friend and roommate Tristan to EV Free Fullerton and we basically led the music and teaching at their high school group. It was good time. Not to mention the fact that my girlfriend Bethany turned 21 on Sunday, so I got her a season pass to Dinneyland.. I mean Disneyland. haha.. so she was excited. The part that sucked though was that I had to come back to school and go to work. But.. all in all, a good day. My week is looking dim though, as this week we have basically the week off for what Master’s calls “Outreach Week.” It’s basically where the school goes out to different churches in the area for the week and weekend and serves with them. But you’re good friend Shay here.. isn’t going. He’s gotta work. So, that’s that.

Well, Tristan’s computer is beeping with IM’s behind me.. and I want to get some stuff done tonight and listen to some Dashboard, so I’m going to go. Which, by the way, I saw Chris Carraba on Thursday of last week. He was solid, good show, good times. So.. ok. .bye.
